Spring again

Ouch! The photo of the clematis in the last post was NOT the best one of the bunch. Here's a better one. Tomorrow, I might get the ladder out to get an even better shot, as these are growing on an eight foot trellis.
This plant grew over the front door of my sister's tiny house. She passed away in December 2004 and I dug it up that winter--which was fairly mild. The clematis hasn't done much all these years, maybe squeezing out an anemic bloom or two, until now and it is lush and covered in buds. Maybe I should wait to drag the ladder out a few more days...hmmmmm.................
