Saturday am

Here are some of the pictures we took on Saturday morning. The quilts are made of old signs--traffic signs, bus stops, etc--and it's the way coolest thing to happen in Memphis. They cover up the big ugly ac units for City Hall. Plus there's a photo of the bridge.

I'll take 'em! Fabulous and clever. My lump is not a ganglion cyst - it's way too big and it hurts. My daughter has had ganglion cysts and they can go away by themselves.
Dr. thinks this is just a stress injury. We'll see.

Very cool! I haven't seen these yet, but I had heard about 'em. They look way-cooler than I'd imagined! Great pics, BTW...

Great idea! Maybe more cities will see this and commission similar works for their eyesores.

Fabulous! they're a bit like the work of Australian artist Rosalie Gascoigne, who also uses old metal signs.

The whole concept is awesome. Recycle and re-use and hide the uglies. Kewlio!

Dear Marilyn,

Thanks for the photos in various scales--they gave me a very clear idea of the work. It's beautiful, useful, and innovative: great attributes for public art!
Good luck with the mayor's race. Sounds like a cat would be better than a hog!
